Accessing Compliance Reports on Deming (MAUD)
Mandatory Training Compliance data is now available within the "Deming" dashboards on MAUD. This MAST Dashboard became available in late 2023. It uses the filters, features, and access methods of Power BI.
The data in the MAST Dashboard is updated daily (from LEAP, overnight). This dashboard also includes timelines and history, so that we can analyse progress with compliance levels over time.
Using and interpreting the MAST Dashboard can take a little practice. It may help to watch the 2 short demonstration walk-though videos here.
Accessing Compliance Reports on LEAP
Formatted spreadsheets of Training Compliance Reports are also available on LEAP to view and download. They show staff compliance percentages with their mandatory training. The reports are grouped by directorates, departments, training programmes, and more.
These Training Compliance Reports are updated and published weekly on Mondays.
There is a link to these Compliance Reports in the top menu My Team & Reports - ringed in red below:
These reports are Excel spreadsheets. They contain numerous worksheets, and you wil typically need to use the filter options to get to the data you need. You will need to know how to read and interpret the data in a Pivot table.
For best access to the data, you are recommended to download the Excel report (your browser may do this for you, or it may offer you a " Save (as)" option when clicking on the report link). Then open the downloaded file, selecting "Edit file" option, or rejecting "Read only" option.
When you download the compliance report from LEAP and it has been opened in Excel, enable editing and locate the Data tab at the bottom far end, you can filter the cost codes for staff groups and courses and any other fields in the dataset.
Issues with the reports' accuracy
The data in these reports is the same as that on LEAP, which itself is updated from ESR/Workforce records. So:
- If staff are in the wrong team, or have left, managers should fill in Change forms to get this corrected.
- If staff are on long-term sick, or otherwise exempt, follow the guidance here.
- If you see other issues or errors in the reports that need looking into, please contact the LEAP team or the BI team.
