This training mapping guidance is for new staff members to add the training they have completed with their previous Trust or Organisation so we can look at transferring them to SLaM on our LEAP training platform.
Please note, some of your training with your previous NHS employer may automatically get updated on LEAP. Please wait at least 2 weeks from your induction date to see if your LEAP Record of Learning has been updated.
Otherwise, we ask that you upload evidence on LEAP, e.g. in the format of a PDF of your Record of Learning, along with a copy of your Training Certificates. These should clearly show your name and the name of the previous Trust.
Go to your Profile > Evidence bank
Click the "Add evidence item" button to upload your evidence. Once you have done this, please email Induction@slam.nhs.uk with “Mapping” in the email subject to let us know to update your certification records and renewal dates.
If you have not completed any Mandatory Training from a previous Trust or Organisation, you will not need to upload anything. You will be able to complete your training once you are in post.
If you cannot access your Training Records from your previous Trust, please liaise with their Training Department, they should be able to provide you with the details to forward on to us.
Please note, we do not accept the following:
- Training from other Trusts that are not aligned with the Core Skills Framework. Please check this here: Core Skills Framework (CSTF).
- The following training: Conflict Resolution (Violence and Aggression), ASCOM, Fire Warden, Mental Health/Capacity Act/DoLs, MEWS/NEWS EObs, Smoking Cessation, Risk Management, Moving and Handling Patients and Dual Diagnosis. These need to be completed with SLaM.
