Accessing Appraisals 2026

The appraisals forms on LEAP will be available from April 1st until July 2026.

Preparing for Appraisal

Staff may schedule their appraisal meetings with this date in mind, prepare themselves by reviewing their work and development, and ensure they are up to date with mandatory trainings and supervisions.  

The 2026 appraisal window at SLaM is scheduled to last 4 months and will close on July 31st.  It is not normally possible to record an appraisal on LEAP outside this window.   Your appraisal record for this and for previous years can be viewed on LEAP.

Accessing your Appraisal on LEAP

As an appraisee, simply click the "My 2026 Appraisal" link on the top menu bar - in the place shown here.

Appraisal "eligibility" for new staff

Only staff who started work prior to March 2026 are due to have an Appraisal in 2026.  This is because staff would not normally have an appraisal during their first few weeks, when they are on probation. 

Even if you are not yet eligible for appraisal, you or your manager can set or review objectives anytime on LEAP.  Use the "My Team" page or the links under "My Essential Learning" on the LEAP top menu bar.

If managers are determined to do a LEAP appraisal for new staff,  then the LEAP Admin team can manually add the employee to the "Appraisal 2026 Extras" audience.
