Are you a new manager, need to change employee details or have new employees in your team?
If you do not see the people you manage under My Teams (or if you see the wrong people; or if you do not see My Team dashboard at all), you will need to request your manager-employee relation is corrected in ESR.
- If the change is not a pay-impacting change (i.e. only a change to the current line manager), please fill in this Workforce manager-update request form.
- If the change is a pay-impacting change (i.e. different pay grade) then please fill in the ESR Change Form. (If you have problems accessing that form, there is help and guidance here).
LEAP relies on information from other SLaM systems to maintain staff accounts and learning records on LEAP. This includes the employment records of your staff on ESR, which is updated by you as manager, and processed by Workforce/Payroll and HR. To update ESR, please follow the steps above.
Can't See the My Team Menu Item
This will be because the ESR information is not correct or up to date with you not listed as a manager. This employment record must be updated to ensure you are recognised as a manager on LEAP, and so for the My Team menu item to appear.
As LEAP pulls data through from the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) system managed by payroll@slam.nhs.uk or WorkforceInformation@slam.nhs.uk , you must ensure this record is correct and up to date so that the correct details appear on LEAP.
Please note emails to the LEAP inbox will not resolve this for you as these are picked up by Education & Development administrators who deal with E&D queries rather than employment records.
ESR has been updated, but LEAP is still out-of-date?
When the Change Form has been processed, such that the ESR record is up to date, the updated team and manager details will shortly appear on LEAP (generally within one week).
