PDP missing or unapproved
In some cases, for particular staff, the Appraisal form in LEAP does not have an "Add new Development Goal" or "Choose Development Goal to review" buttons. This happens because that person's PDP or Personal Development Plan on LEAP is in an unapproved state or is absent.
You may see. this kind of message within the Appraisal forms:
Approve or create PDP
The one-off fix for this is quick and straightforward. The user or their manager can approve or create a plan.
- If it is your PDP or appraisal go to your PDP screen in LEAP.
- If you are the manager, go to your My Teams screen in LEAP and find the Plan link for that employee.
- Most commonly there is a PDP that shows a status of "Unapproved". To approve: Simply Click the green disc under Actions. (CHK)
- If there is no PDP, or the existing PDP has been marked as completed, You can "Create new PDP "here.
If you are the delegated appraiser, but not the manager in LEAP, you cannot do this one-off fix ; it needs to be the employee themselves or their manager.
