Accessing Objectives in LEAP
Managers have a link to the Objectives (highlighted below) for each direct report on their staff listing under My Team.
Staff can see their own objectives at their Objectives page linked to under My User on their Learning & Supervision page. You can also find links to "My Objectives" under the "Appraisal & Goals" heading on LEAP's top menu bar.
Updating Objectives
On the Objectives listings in LEAP, staff can add new objectives anytime - see the options circled in red.
Staff can Track My Objectives (e.g mark as "Achieved" or "No longer applicable"), review or edit objectives: - see the options circled in blue.
Types of Objective
Strategic Objectives (newly appearing on LEAP in 2023) may have been assigned to you according to your role, and will be the same for all staff in that role.
Performance Objectives are specific to you. They are typically set during your Appraisal and should be reviewed during the year. They should normally link with one or more of the Trust’s Corporate Objectives, aligned to service needs.
Setting and Reviewing Objectives within Appraisal
In the Appraisal form on LEAP, objectives are reviewed on the Looking Back page. Comments can be added by appraiser or appraisee, and the objective can be marked as Achieved or otherwise.
New objectives are set (or carried forward) on the Looking Forward page.
