LEAP now has a standardised certificate showing all your training and compliance on one document or screen. This is called the Record of Learning.
Record of Learning
To get an accurate and official evidence record from LEAP, go to your Record of Learning.
Look under the dropdown menu headed "My Essential Learning" as below; or go directly to this link
- You can always access / print / download your Record of Learning
- In this way, SLaM staff can get evidence of all their mandatory training and other LEAP learning any time. You can do this as "self-service" in LEAP; you do not need to request it from the admin team.
- The Record of Learning can be set to show both current and previous training and compliance.
- The Record of Learning shows the staff member's name and role, and has the SLaM logo on each page. Example below
View/download PDF Copy
- Staff can download a copy of their Record of Learning.
- This is a good way to take evidence of your compliance status, if you are moving to another employer. (A similar"Record of learning" from your previous employer will be accepted as evidence of training for new starters at SLaM)
- To view/download your copy, use this button at the bottom of any Record of Learning screen:
- You can then choose which items to duisplay / download: for example, you may want your "Certifications history" as well as your current "Certifications". This would then show previous or expired compliance as well as your current status.
"Old-style" certificates
Some"old-style" Certificates (as shown here) may still be visible on LEAP course pages, but these will not "work" reliabl;y, and the LEAP Admin team will not be able to resolve issues with them; staff can always use their Record of Learning as reliable evidence of completion. The LEAP support team will resolve issues with Records of Learning.
If a custom certificate for a particular training programme is needed (e.g. with a regulator's logo or with the trainer's name or signature), this will not be provided within LEAP. Trainers may perhaps make arrangements to hand out such certificates directly.
Ex-staff: obtaining your Record of Learning
- If you have left SLaM and can therefore no longer log in to LEAP, you or your new employer may contact the LEAP admin team to see if they can prodce a copy for you.
- (Best practice is to download your copy yourself before you leave).
